Kingyo Izakaya located in Cabbagetown, and part of Blogto's "Top 10 Best Izakaya in the City". Coming here for lunch was a great idea especially on a weekend.

Mekabu Agedashj Tofu with an Ankake Mushroom Sauce was delicious! An assorted of mushrooms with the sizzling sauce. Chicken Karage, pieces of moist meat and the portion were perfect. I like how it didn't feel greasy these pieces of chickens were. 2 Kinds of Tako Wasabi. Boiled and Raw Octopus just lighten up your palette!
The Rib Eye Shabu Shabu Udon. This huge bowl of soup will be the perfect lunch for all soup lovers. The homemade bonito soup was so clean and light, you can afford to have desert in your belly. The meat was tender and had a generous portion.
"Kingyo Makunouchi Deluxe Box Set" was beyond my expectations! It is a foodie dream of a Bento box. Nine different dishes packed into this beautiful Bento box. Each dish had very unique and clean flavours. I would consider this box as a novelty as they only produce 15 a day, and the dishes changes daily. The box consist of;
1) Beef Tataki Salad
2) Grilled Fish
3) Age Dashi Tofu
4) Chicken Karage
5) Egg Omelette with Eel
6) Garlic Tuna Tataki
7) 2 Kinds of Sashimi
8) Wagyu Patty
9) Breaded Deep Fried-Salmon .
Kinyo famous Almond Tofu was really exquisite! I really love the texture and almond flavour!
Frozen Matcha Brulee, had such clean flavours and God damn I would order another one.
