Quebec City memories

The cobblestone streets, low rise buildings, Château du Frontenac, The Concord, the six-hour walk are memories I have travelling in Quebec City. This city has a special place in my heart for numerous reasons.

My first solo trip was travelling to Quebec City for a two-week work assignment. It was at the end of June I was asked to go and the start of St. Jean-Baptise week festivities. Seeing locals and tourists enjoy summer heat at their favourite spots in the city. Rue Saint-Jean is my favourite tourist destination as it resides my two favourite restaurants (Paillard and Chez Boulay). The street has multiple local restaurants and bars.

The two-week work assignment was an adventure with a culinary tour of the city with every possible restaurant I can visit.

Restaurant visits after work are one of my favourite past time when I'm in Quebec City. Since 2016 I've travelled to Quebec City at least once a year and would plan out the restaurants I would visit beforehand. I have the fixed restaurants I like to go to (Poutineville, St-Hubert), and a restaurant that offers duck confit. The casual interior and variety of cuisines spark an interest in me.

A dessert place such as Chocolats Favoris Dessert was unique in my eyes. Ophelia freshly made Burrata salad with that dressing while gazing around the unique 2-floor set-up of the restaurant. Paillard Bistro Beef sandwich while consuming that sandwich while deciding if you want a macaroon to take home. Bison tartare from L'Atelier with prosciutto chips. Just several restaurants I found in Quebec City offering great hospitality.

I have memorable moments in this city and can't wait to come back to continue my journey.
